1 Acceptance of terms
By registering as a member of Clean Alliance Party of Kenya (CAP-K), you agree to these Terms of Use together with the party constitution, rules, and regulations. These terms govern your use of our services and your rights and obligations as a member.
2 Membership eligibility
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You are a Kenyan citizen or lawfully resident in Kenya (as applicable)
- You are not a member of another political party in Kenya
- You provide accurate and complete information
- You uphold the party constitution and values
3 Member rights & privileges
Political participation
- Vote in party elections
- Seek party nominations
- Attend party meetings
- Hold party positions (where eligible)
Information & access
- Receive party communications
- Use party resources made available to members
- Participate in events
- Access the member portal (where enabled)
4 Member obligations
As a member you commit to:
- Values: support the party vision, mission, and values
- Fees: pay applicable membership dues as determined by the party
- Loyalty: remain loyal to the party and its lawful decisions
- Conduct: maintain high standards of personal and professional conduct
- Compliance: follow the constitution, rules, and Kenyan law
- Participation: engage constructively in party programmes
- No dual membership: do not join or support another political party in Kenya
5 Code of conduct
Members are expected to act lawfully and respectfully. Core expectations include:
Respect & unity
Treat members and officials with dignity; promote cohesion.
Integrity
Act honestly in all party-related matters.
Rule of law
Uphold the Constitution of Kenya and applicable laws.
6 Membership duration
Membership continues according to the party constitution and policies, including:
- Renewal requirements (if any)
- Good standing and compliance
- Payment of applicable fees
7 Termination
Voluntary resignation
- Written notice as required by party procedure
- Return of party property (if any)
- Settlement of outstanding dues (if any)
Involuntary termination
- Serious breach of constitution or rules
- Dual membership or misrepresentation
- Conduct that harms the party or public interest
- Failure to meet material obligations
8 Dispute resolution
Disputes should be escalated in good faith through:
- Internal party mechanisms
- Disciplinary structures where applicable
- Political Parties Disputes Tribunal or other statutory bodies
- Courts of law as a last resort
9 Intellectual property
Party names, logos, constitution, training materials, and official digital content remain the property of Clean Alliance Party of Kenya and may not be used without permission except as allowed by law or party licence.
10 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Clean Alliance Party of Kenya is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in party activities, third-party actions, or events outside the party’s reasonable control.
11 Amendments
We may amend these Terms of Use. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable channels such as the website, email, SMS, or official notices.
